Through a transparent smart contract, the distribution of revenues is automatically split between Phygify, the NFT shop owner, and the NFT artist. Two separate Reward Pots are created with 10% revenue allocation in each, with 20% to be divided evenly between the NFT artist and the NFT shop owner.

In order to create Phygital merchandise through our easy-to-use platform, we first require that asset ownership is sufficiently verified. This is handed through Metamask, ensuring that only the true holder of an NFT can transform that piece into a physical item. We also give artists the opportunity to verify themselves and claim a 10% reward on the revenue that is generated by any of their designs that are being turned into a Phygital good by their rightful holder.

Since all merchandise created through the Phygify platform has been verified as belonging to the correct owner of the corresponding digital asset, wearing a piece of real-world Phygital merch means being able to prove that you own a digital asset in the real world.

We are fighting for a community that better serves both asset holders and artists. In this pursuit, we have been inspired by CC0. This license and initiative enables scientists, educators, artists, and other creators and owners of copyrighted content to place their works in the public domain. That way, others may freely build upon, enhance, and reuse the works for any purposes without restriction under copyright or database law.
Our team wants to see more NFT projects give asset holders the intellectual property rights to use and monetize pieces in their collection however they see fit. To inspire this movement, we are allowing artists to claim a 10% reward on any of their designs that are turned into Phygital goods—even after they have been sold to a holder.
In addition, we are allowing projects to verify themselves as champions in this movement with a special Phygify banner that can be used by any project that is verified through Phygify NFCommerce. In addition to that project then being featured in our register, the banner they receive can be displayed on their social media channels, marketing communications, and their website. As part of this process, projects acknowledge that asset holders have the commercial rights to monetize the pieces that they hold in their collection.
